The manufacturer recommends this procedure being completed every 3,000 miles or 3 months, which ever comes first. However, with the use of superior lubricants such as AMSOIL Signature Series Motor Oil, you can extend the drain interval up to 25,000 miles or one year. Performing one oil change per year reduces wear on the oil plug and oil filter housing. It also reduces the amount of waste oil in the environment.
