1998 F150 fuel tank replacement, tools you will need 5/16 wrench to remove hose clamps on filler and vent tubes, flat screwdriver, pliers, fuel line removal tool OR a fabricated gadget, 13 mm socket to remove the tank straps, ratchet straps to hold the tank, unless you are replacing everything, you need to remove items from the old tank, 2 vent tubes on each end, filler and vent tube, fuel pump assembly, and the tank pressure sensor, be very careful, in fact just take a punch, put a hole a half inch from the sensor in the tank and then roll it out like a sardine can lid, then work the sensor free from there, it will almost always break when trying to PUSH DOWN AND TURN 1/4 turn counterclockwise. My aftermarket tank does not fit properly, the front strap is about an inch and half short of snugging tight and the rear strap is about 4 inches off, this is due to the flange on the edge of the tank seam, I will have to fabricate new straps or attempt to bend the flange down. Ford fuel tanks are a nightmare if you live in wintry states like me , Pennsylvania!. That girl? LOL close friend of the family..
